The Federation (FIMCA) aims to foster

“Good Operations Practices” intended to guide the fraternity, encouraging promotion of ethical practices in recruiting emigrants for international employment.

  • Respect for Human Rights: Recruitment / Emigration agencies shall uphold the principles of human rights in their operations, and shall not engage in activities that violate the rights of emigrants, including the right to freedom from discrimination, exploitation, and abuse.
  • Transparency: Recruitment / Emigration agencies shall provide accurate and complete information to emigrants about their employment opportunities, including the terms and conditions of employment, wages, and benefits.
  • Fair Recruitment: Recruitment / Emigration agencies shall ensure that recruitment processes are fair and transparent, and that emigrants are selected based on their qualifications, experience, and skills, rather than their race, gender, nationality, or any other discriminatory factor.
  • Protection of Emigrants: Recruitment / Emigration agencies shall take all necessary measures to protect emigrants from harm, including physical harm, psychological harm, and exploitation.
  • Respect for the Law: Recruitment / Emigration agencies shall comply with all relevant laws and regulations governing emigration and employment, and shall not engage in any activities that violate these laws.
  • Confidentiality: Recruitment / Emigration agencies shall maintain the confidentiality of emigrants’ personal information, including their identities, addresses, and other sensitive information.
  • Accountability: Recruitment / Emigration agencies shall be accountable for their actions, and shall take responsibility for any harm caused to emigrants as a result of their operations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Recruitment / Emigration agencies shall continuously monitor and evaluate their operations to ensure that they are meeting their ethical obligations, and shall take corrective action as necessary to improve their performance.
